As the lockdown continues, many of us are adapting to our new life at home. Whether you're currently furloughed, working from home or just looking to make extra cash, these 10 ways to make money from your home could give you a helping hand.

1. Flog your old things

Whilst we might not be getting to a car boot sale any time soon, selling your unwanted items online is a great way to make some extra pocket money. Sites like eBay, Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace are a great place to start.

2. Buy and sell

A buying-and-selling enterprise is simple: buy low, sell high. Whether it's antiques, collectables, or even property, you can make money by buying items at a low price and selling for a profit. It's fairly low risk, and anyone can do it!

3. Start a blog

An online blog is a great way to share something you're passionate about, and can even make you money. By adding ads, affiliate content, company freebies and even blog takeovers, you can bring in some extra cash - the more popular the blog, the more you make!

4. Online surveys

You can get paid decent money to give your opinions of products, services and brands through online surveys, with most sites paying between 50p - £2 per survey. Being part of an online focus group could earn you anything from £30 - £160! Some top survey sites include Swagbucks, i-Say and Crowdology

.5. Affiliate Marketing

Become a partner with brands associated with your website, blog or social media platforms and make money every time someone uses your affiliate link to buy that brand's products. For example, if you include an affiliate link to a yoga class on your fitness blog and someone books via your link, you make a profit!

6. Become a Virtual Assistant

A role that is entirely remote, a Virtual Assistant assists their client in day-to-day tasks, such as admin, organising events, diary management, or in the property world searching for property deals that fit the client's criteria. Sites such as Fiverr and Virtalent allow you to become a VA.

7. Reduce your monthly expenses

A great way to give your income a boost is to simply reduce your monthly outgoings. The average household can give themselves a £350 pay rise by simply switching their utility providers. Take a look at our blog or email us to find out how we can help with this.

8. Provide an online course

Are you skilled or knowledgeable about a particular subject? Perhaps you're a highly experienced property investor or know everything there is to know about stocks and shares - you could provide a paid online course for keen learners.

9. Design and sell products

Do you have a creative side you're dying to unleash? Websites such as TeeSpring allow you to design your own t-shirts, mugs, accessories and more and sell them to paying customers. You can submit your designs, set your product price and reap the profits!

10. Rent your unused space.

If you live near a city centre, train station, airport or football ground, you can earn good money by renting out your driveway. Or if you have a spare room and don't mind an extra person in the house, consider renting to a lodger. The Government's Rent a Room scheme allows to you do this tax-free.
